Inter-company training institutions like the UeBZO supplement the dual training structure in Germany, by adding a third institution into the training process. Especially for small and medium enterprises it can be challenging to provide all resources required by the standardized German training profile for their in-company training such as qualified trainers, equipment and the knowledge on the respective content. As the nationwide German training profiles are designed to broadly qualify the apprentice in his or her respective trade, small and very specialized companies may struggle to provide all general skills required themselves. Companies can decide if they are able and willing to provide all trainings according to the training profile of the apprentice themselves or if they want to send their apprentices to inter-company training institutions for certain training modules.
Due to our state-of-the-art machinery equipment, long-term experience in the education sector and especially due to our trainers’ practical skills, we provide the perfect environment to teach theoretical and practical skills. The concept of inter-company training is flexible and able to quickly integrate new technologies and processes into the training.
The UEBZO offers two options for inter-company training services:
Model 1: The UEBZO takes over parts of the in-company training
The UeBZO acts as a third training institution besides the apprentices’ company and the state vocational school. Certain training courses according to the apprentices’ company demand take place in the UeBZO at suitable time slots.
- Company: Parts of the subscribed in-company training take part in the company.
- UEBZO: Parts of the subscribed in-company training take part in the UeBZO, according to the company’s demand.
- Vocational school: The job-related theoretical knowledge is taught in the vocational school.
Model 2: The UEBZO takes over the entire in-company training
The apprentice enters a vocational training contract with their company, but the complete in-company training only takes place at the UeBZO. Therefore, the apprentice does his or her in-company training at the UEBZO and joins the state vocational school for the job-related theoretical learning.
- Company: The apprentice enters a vocational training contract with the company. The UeBZO reports to the company on his or her performance on a regular basis.
- UEBZO: The UeBZO picks up the responsibilities of the apprentices’ company in the in-company training and trains them according to the nationwide German training profile in their trade.
- Vocational school: The job-related theoretical knowledge is taught in the vocational school.
